Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale(full name: Gareth Frank Bale) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays for La Liga club Real Madrid and Wales national team.

When he was young, Bale showed his talent in football. He played a futsal match for Cardiff Civil Service Football Club at nine, which had attracted attention of Southampton. Bale began training professionally in Somerset, so, to a large extent, his physical qualities, patience and skills had been improved. When he was 16 years old, he helped his school team win the title of Cardiff & Vale Senior Cup. Bale’s excellent abilities made him get the best scores in PE when he graduated from high school.

He is described by his teammates as a footballer with “tremendous speed, great crossing ability, a great left foot and exceptional physical qualities”. In addition, Bale is a great and excellent footballer and also gets lots of awards. He has got PFA Players’ Player of the Year award in 2010-11 season, Welsh Footballer of the Year award six times, BBC Wales Carwyn James Junior Sportsman of the Year award in 2006 and so on.

Bale signed a contract with Real Madrid from 2013 to 2019. In 2013-14 season, he scored on his Real Madrid debut, a goal coming in the 38th minute against Villarreal. Bale’s second appearance for Madrid came in a 6–1 victory over Galatasaray in the Champions League. His free-kick led to Cristiano Ronaldo’s second goal of the game. On 28 September 2013, Bale made his home debut as a second-half substitute in a 1–0 loss to local rival Atlético Madrid.

His fabulous performance helped Real Madrid win the title of Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup and UEFA Champions League in 2013-14 season.
